My first taste of bike envy.

Sure, we’ve all been on the home stretch of a long ride, and wished we could just coast to the end, but then later you realise that the challenge of the unicycle is what makes it fun, and you wouldn’t change a thing about it.

However, my dad just bought his first mountain bike… and guess what? It’s black and yellow, and matches my muni so very well. Of course I had to ride it, I haven’t ridden a bike in over a year now.

I took it around the block once, then twice, then a third time, and then down the hill. I have to say, riding bikes is pretty fun, and the comfort of coasting is nothing like the skill and concentration it takes to glide or even coast…

But alas, I hoppped on the muni and lost all my new found respect for bikes almost instantaneously. I’ll let my dad ride the bike, it’s just too easy, and not nearly as fun.

Here is a pic of the dynamic duo. I cant wait to take my dad for a ride!

I’m envious. by the way, i’m helping your rep.

Why is he running slicks? Is he just commuting on it?

He bought it barely used, and it came with an extra set of tires and a brand new saddle.

I’ve installed the saddlefor him, but he’s keeping the slicks untill we head up for a real trail this week.
