My first proper injury...

Well I suppose it had to happen sometime. Since I got the thing in January
the worst beating I’ve had is pride when trying to show off something new
only for it all to go hideously wrong. But yesterday I was trying to do a
spinning jump (I’ve just found out how to jump) and it all went hideously
pear shaped.

I must have been doing something right though; my feet were still on the
pedals and my rear was still on the saddle, right up to the point when said
rear end impacted on the pavement. Owwwww…

Phil, just me, hobbling around everywhere

Thats not too bad, When I was learning to ride I was riding and started to fall when my feet kind of “stuck” to the petals. The wheel fell over my leg and nearly broke it. When I went to the hospital to have it X-rayed the doctor was very amused when he found out I injured it on a unicycle. It wasnt broken, just strained, so I had to use crutches for about a week. On a positive note, I found the crutches very good for helping me balance when learning once my leg got better.

Tough break, Phil. Buck up and get back out on that pony when you’re feeling better.

Indeed yes… I’ve only just managed to bounce up kerbs and small, wide
steps, I’m not stopping now! If I can only get the hang of jumping while
moving forwards then I’ll be a very happy muppet.

Phil-

First of all, give me back that tenner…I didn’t slip it to you, you slipped it out of my pocket when I wasn’t looking.

Secondly, I’m not getting the kind of gratification from my cattle prod that I used to. My problems are no longer being solved by it. If I send it to you will you have a look?

Your problems are not being solved by cattle prods? Scary. Trying cranking
up the power!

Ah, thanks. I’m light on the charge. I have a few things around I connect it to to jack up the voltage.

I have a handy isolated mansion on the top of a mountain where I go when
there’s a lightning storm to charge mine. It gives me a chance to improve my
maniacal laughter too!

well last year i managed to, while just jumping on the spot, fall forward and when i put my foot down, the heel got caught on the pedal. my foot rolled forward and i heard a really loud SNAP. i assumed it was broken but when i had x-rays they said that the bones were only fractured, but the loud snap was the tendons riping off the side of my foot.the recovery time for tendons is supposed to be about 18 months, but i cant wait that long so i am already up and learning new tricks.

Last week while riding, well more falling then riding from a 6’ uni I sprained my ankle, Looks pritty nasty still but ohh well I’ll be riding in a few weeks anyway. The people at the hospital were defentally confused when I said I fell off of a 6’ Unicycle. At least it makes for one funny story

Chex

about 2 months ago i figured out that muni sould be more carefully looked at when it comez to strange terrain. i flew over the rock, the gap,the curb and finally landed on my left shoulder.only after a short stint in the role of Superman with wrists out streched.

man that hurt, someone else in this fora did the same thing about a day before me and probobly has a good cartilidge lump to match
