My Favorite Eggs

what’s wrong with raw eggs?

If they’re good enough for Rocky…

My favourite type of eggs are “Toad In A Hole”, it might be called different in different places, but we call it that in Australia.

To make it you get a piece of bread, some butter, an egg, a fork, a round glass and a sandwich toaster.
Butter up the bread, use the top of the glass to cut a circle out of the middle of the bread, take the circle out of the glass, crack the egg into the glass and wisk it thouroughly using the fork, put the buttered bread on the toaster butter down, then pour the egg into the hole and toast it and toast the little circle as well.

If you make 2 of them you can use the 2 circles to make a mini toasted sandwich with ham and cheese.

Hey, we’ve done that before. I’d forgotten about it. I’ll have to make some now. Thanks for the reminder.

…they’re good enough for Bullwinkle!

I had a sliced ham & cheese omelette for b-fast this AM. Eggs from our own brood. How many of you get your eggs from your own chickens?

Just make toad-in-the-holes for breakfast this morning. We ate them with syrup.

Steve, wish I had the facilities to have a brood of laying hens, but there’s this city ordinance thing…

Hmmm, ham & cheese omelet. It’s a donation by the chicken and the cow, but a total commitment by the pig.

  1. A proper omelette (not scrambled) with tomato, avocado, and cheese.

  2. A spinach, basil, and cheese frittata.

I need to make some breakfast.

I’m an avid omeletteer as well as a waffle connoisuer, so I often find myself in the kitchen in the mornings mixing up various concoctions trying to find something new and exquisite. I’ve discovered quite my fair share of deliciously unheard of dishes. A few days ago, I was inn the mood for a hearty omelette with some spice, so I started with my spicy 3 cheese basic(eggs, milk, cheddar, provolone, swiss, paprika, cayyene, chili powder and Tapatio) And mixed in some Jalepeno meaty chilli with some tomatoes and bell pepper.

Simply amazing. It held together better than I’d thought and was absolutely packed with sumptious textures and flavors. Definitely adding it to my collection.

Waffles however are my expertise. I’ve made some excellent batters in my day(PB&J, Confetti Cake, Chocolate Peanutbutter, Cinnamon Raisin/Apple, Banana Suprise etc.) and hope to continue doing so in the future.

Strange, there is an British dish called toad in the hole but it’s completely different, it consists of sausages baked in batter

Personally i prefer these eggs.

Yep. Those are some decent eggs.

Are you sure? Seattle has allowed Chickens for quite a while. There is an annual article on in-town coops in our paper.

If the big city can do it, you should be able to. I say you go to your city counsel if you’re not allowed an in-town coop.

omeltte all the way baby, the way my mum makes it yum… think I’ll have one now… YAY

Brad’s up a bit early to prepare for final exams. He wants a good breakfast to get him off on the right mental foot, so it’ll be a two-egg sausage and cheese omelet (omelette) with a big glass of milk. Of course it’s the last two eggs in the house so I’ll have to settle for a bowl of cereal after he leaves.

The cereal will help him concentrate better.

Promise.

 This is my favourite type of eggs too also.

I can’t believe noone’s mentioned these…

Is that edible though??? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not entirely sure what “those” are.

Sorry, they’re Faberge Eggs.
