My Coker came in!

This thing is awesome. Even the giant box it comes in is awe-inspiring. I
put it together and got ready to freemount the giant, it’s quite different
from my 24" because the seat post is almost parallel to the ground when
getting on, but I was able to freemount first try. I was surprised at how
sluggish it feels at first, but once it gets going it doesn’t want to stop,
and neither did I until my legs felt the same wobbly-tiredness I felt when I
first started unicycling. I went about 2 miles in what seemed like a minute
then tried to idle, which is going to take some getting used to. If you
don’t have one, I suggest getting one. The height and speed make for one
great ride.

Yeah, it is much different than any other uni. I just love mine.

Wow!- it took me an hour to freemount it successfully the first time! You rock! (or… I… uhh) You rock!

Re: My Coker came in!

Mine came in the other day also. Soooo smooth! I used the “middle sized”
seat post. Still no freemount or idle, but I haven’t had much time to practice
either. My 9 yr. old daughter is now riding my 5’ giraffe! We have 5 unis now
and I’m in the process of building a 10’ giraffe.

Re: My Coker came in!

It took me 5 or 10 tries before I quit going over the top on a roll back mount. You’re a talented guy. They are like anxious dogs wanting to be walked indefinitely…once on the leash they are not about to quit running. And nothing looks more interesting than a giant Coker wheel rolling by.

Re: My Coker came in!

You stud! The first time I hoped onto my Coker I went straight to the
ground. Second and third too. At that point I was starting to think it had
been a big mistake, but #4 was ok. And I was off! Idling came much later and
is not that great even once you can do it fine. Try 1-foot riding instead.
