… and it’s a rant!
Have only been unicycling for about 2 months now, and am absolutely loving it! I have been all over different terrain types, and have come across many people who wanted to know more about unicycling. Most people who stop you and talk are really nice people. But there’s always some t*** who has to do something different.
I went out today, straight after returning from work (3pm), and at 3pm, the kids are usually leaving school. Now, over the road from me, I have the biggest school in the whole of my town. This obviously means there’s loads of kids flooding out when the school shuts at 3pm.
Now, I have been riding with no problems at all this time of the day for a few weeks. But today was different. I came across a group of kids (10-12 of them), and as I approached I heard one shout “Dare you to push him off”. Anyway, one of them did push me off. Luckily, because I knew it was going to happen I was prepared and managed to get my feet down in time.
Only after pushing me off, did he realise that I was Mush bigger than he thought. He was only about 5ft, and I’m 6’4. I stodd right up to him and then slung him on the floor and asked him how he liked being pushed over. At this point he was in tears, probably fearing that I was going to do more to him. But I’m not like that.
I’ve had other people shout abuse too, the best ‘insult’ being “You’re a faggot”.
But apart from that, I love unicycling!
