music for unicyclists?

anything you guys recommend. im pretty open to anything. linkin park, rise against, rammstein, blink 182. need some new stuff but dont know what to get.

find catchy songs that help you flow better…theres some rap songs…usually the less popular songs are way better I think. I also like Serj Tankian or just System Of A Down for a little more heavy. I hate anything screamo though…seems completely pointless…

true, hardcore is good. screaming can be kinda annoying sometimes. im not so into rap not my style.

Thousand Foot Krutch

5) Origa - Rise (Ghost In A Shell)
6) Initial D 4th Stage - Dark Angels - Right Now.

I 2nd Thousand Foot Krutch

and Papa Roach, 3 Days Grace, Marilyn Manson, Fair to Midland, Seether, Cobra Starship, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are some I listen to.

Daft Punk is great pump-up music for me.

Blink 182…bands that they kind of rip off are…Screeching Weasel and Descendents. I would highly recommend getting Descendents - Milo Goes to College.

Rise against has a few people from 88 fingers louie, you may like them as well. 88 Fingers Louie was on a split with Kid Dynamite who also rules. You could go down to their roots and get into some good old melodic hardcore like Gorilla Biscuits.

For long distance/ riding fast Children of Bodom can’t be beat. (though they are too heavy for some)

I like rap instrumentals, but not the lyrics…

So I make my own music… I cant go wrong with that.

I was just going to make a thread about this and When you do listen and unicycle, do you blast the music on a speaker, use ear buds, headphones, or wireless headphones… I have wireless…

For what kind of music I listen to punk, alternative, a little rap, and rock.
Artists:
-Jet Lag Gemini-Small (probably never heard of them), but great punk rock band
-Linkin Park
-Wylde Bunch
-Van Halen (asp, the song Jump)
-White Rabbits-Small (probably never heard 'em), but great rock/alternative band

Oh god, they make me want to rip my ears off.

Pick up some guitar instrumentals - Joe Satriani is good for riding, I’ve found.

The Cherry Poppin’ Daddies all the way. Click on “listen to this album” to hear what their new album is like (I like the song Blood Orange Sun). It’s sorta eclectic, but I like it because my music tastes are very eclectic as well. I like reggae for when I just ride around, it mellows me out. Or I listen to some heavy metal when I feel in the mood for some kick-assery. The only types I don’t like are pop and gospel music, and I’m not too fond of rap, but I’ll occasionally listen to it, unlike the former two.

Here’s a short list of some bands I like:

Ballyhoo, The Beautiful Girls, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, Children of Bodom, CCR, Dave Matthews, Eagles, Flobots, Grateful Dead, High Tide, Johnny Cash, Korn, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marty Robbins, Metallica, Mudvayne, Nirvana, Niyorah, O.A.R, Pepper, R.E.M, Rage Against the Machine, Rebelution, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Reel Big Fish, Seether, Slightly Stoopid, Slipknot, Staylefish, Sublime, Supertramp, Tom Petty, Verlon Thompson, and The Who.

I left several off, but this is a fairly good cross-section of what I like.

Anyhoo, check 'em out.

harder faster better strong is my favorite song of theirs

Strongly recommend Hilltop Hoods and Fort Minor for unicycling music

linkin park, fallout boy and the red hot chilli peppers for riding places but for street trials and muni-dance and techno are the best imo

When I have successfully completed a new trick, I brake out in song for some unknown reason…

I agree! I rode around the mountain listening mostly to Joe Satriani and I thought it was quite inspirational for pedaling fast. Joe is playing in New Plymouth in July! I can’t wait.
