What a great movie! More than a documentary, certainly not a ‘people in wheelchairs are great’ movie, this may be the first movie ever I sat and watched the movie, and all special features in two days, including both full length audio commentaries (I LOVE watching the audio commentaries on good movies though)
Rent this movie! Fantastic storytelling!
And if you are still hesitant in picking this up? One of the special features is ‘the murderball people meet Jaxckass’ and well you know anything that has Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville is hilarious! (it even shows ‘the golf cart’ clip again!)
And how many movies have Ministry in the soundtrack!!!
Agreed!! Very powerful movie. I saw it because my movie-going brother picked it as his top movie of 2005. I also watched the commentaries. They add another fabulous dimension to the story. Those guys are truly amazing.
I didn’t really care for this movie. I don’t mean any disrepect for people in wheelchairs, but I thought the movie was kind of boring, almost like watching someone’s home movies of their kids playing soccer. Maybe my expectations were too high because of all the praise I’ve heard for it.
wow, it sounds really interesting…is it a true story? looks like it from the trailer. I might check it out. I’m just wondering though, why is it rated R?
It’s basically following these guys for 2 years, it’s the story of the athletes, and as all athletes, there’s a lot of swearing and sexual content, that’s why it’s rated R.
i couldn’t get enough of it, but can appreaciate someone not caring for it, as it’s a documentary more than anything, but i loved it.
I love documentaries that are about people doing great things though, I really like a movie where you can get into the heads of the people it is featuring.
