Once again I am requesting feed back for a date that suits everyone for the Muni
Weekend. We were planning to have it on Labor Day Weekend, here in Sun Valley,
Idaho, but when I called for motels and house rentals, I found that Labor Day
Weekend is the single busiest time of year. If we wanted rooms they would have
to be reserved now and we have no idea how many to take. Also the restaurants
will be crowded.
People who I have had the opportunity to ask are comfortable with the option of
moving the event to the last half of September even though it means the lifts on
Bald Mountain will no longer be operating. I am confident that I can find
another trail where we will have an altitude advantage that doesn’t involve a
whole lot of jeep trails.
Please tell me what suits you as we want everyone to come, especially the
regulars. The weekends in question are Sept 14,15 & 16; Sept 21, 22 & 23; and
Sept 28, 29 & 30.
I am planning a trials event for those crazy people also.
Travel is easy since we have the Sun Valley Airport close at hand. It is ten
minutes from our house and a half hour from Ketchum and Sun Valley. It may not
be necessary to rent a car to attend the event but we hope some people do.
Hi Joe, one time collision I know about is with the Portland Juggling Festival
in Oregon. That’s usually the last weekend in Sept, and I would sure hate to
miss it - lots of unicycling there too. I think we could make the 14-16 or 21-23
weekends though. And I don’t mind at all having no lifts, although 3 hard days
of riding in a row including big uphills is pretty tough. But everyone should be
at their strongest at the end of summer, right?
