There is a small picture and paragraph on MUni in this month’s Stuff Magazine
(page 29). Any exposure is good in some sense,I guess, but we are in there with
some pretty weird “sports”. Also, the picture was completely poached- no
permission given and neither the rider nor photographer were identified.

I like that word - “poached”. That’s irresponsible journalism. Some of us go to
a lot of effort and expense to document this sport.
I was in contact with people from STUFF, and sent them a bunch of prints, which
they sent back saying they’d found something else. I was kind of hoping it was
one they had gotten from you. If you want to pursue them, I can try to dig up
the contact information I had for the people at STUFF.
Or maybe we should all just read it at the newsstand and not buy it?

It is impossible to put down what you are doing. Directing negative
comments at others to catch the attention of the great unwashed seems to
be the rage these days. Remember the average I.Q. is 100 and that 100
probably is really an 80 on the old scale. I guess the audience these
publications are designed for are happy with no more than paper smeared
with ink. Just tell the people at Stuff to stuff their publication up
their asses. Suggest to them that a better title might be "Stuff In
Garbage". I think what you are doing is top-draw, perhaps only exceeded
by a great attitude. Keep setting a good example and let the rain wash
the mud pies away.
