Just got back from a great weekend near Lake Tahoe. John Foss put together a
weekend of challenging but mostly doable(?) rides at NorthStar Ski area and
Auburn CA. 30 to 35 mountain unicyclists were in attendance. Some expert riders
rode up the ski slopes, while us novices struggled to ride down the slope. The
mountain bikers in the area were generally amazed at the group of unicyclists.
I’m looking forward to next year’s California Mountain Unicycle Weekend. I hope
to get some of the riders in my area together for a Washington Mountain Uncycle
Weekend. In the mean time I expect to build my skill level so I can ride with
the experts.
