good god! that is a LOT of mud built up there on that frame!!! must of been sticky mud that stuck to everything?
Re: Mud clearance
Been there, done that. The old 50 pound unicycle trick. We pick our rides
really carefully now in wet times to minimize trail damage. Also it is a
real pain cleaning up after a ride like that. Is your terrain so muddy often
or was this a very unusual ride?

Re: Re: Mud clearance
That looks like fun. I never thought of reversing the saddle and riding the mud off. Good idea.
just to add my been there, done that story I was out riding behind a factory and my Muni picked up a lot of greyish mud, kinda looking like concrete. Turns out it they were building something in the factory and yes it was concrete. Lots of elbow grease later my Muni was back to normal:o
I should have paid more attention.
Any tips on getting mud off a gazz on a trail. I usually have to wait for it to dry and crack off.

Getting that Mud OFf
I would suggest using a large stick. that was the best solution for me a couple months back. on that ride the mud was so bad we could (at any time) pick it off the tire and throw a large mud-ball at another rider. it never seemed to happen though.

I had this happen in a race last winter, just got my hands in there and
chucked it all off, I was gonna be covered in mud anyway. Runnig your gloves
round the tyre also helps.
