I know this looks like another “can I have a gallery” thread or similiar, but I need help.
I just made a trials movie, about 2 minutes long, 65.2 mb, avi file, but I am having a lot of trouble putting it in my gallery. Is there a size limit, or am I doing somthing wrong? Every time I try to ‘add new item’ it turns into a “this page cannot be displayed” message.
I just put a short 15 second smaller movie clip in my Moab munifest album, so I know it works.
I would be gratefull for your help.
I think Gilby said you can put much bigger files in there than that one…
The internal limit is 128 MB, but there could be other things causing a problem. Evan was telling me about a similar error yesterday that he had uploading to the gallery.
What browser are you using? Given the error message, it sounds like IE, which usually doesn’t output any helpful error messages (doesn’t show the actual webpage that gets sent and makes it’s own message). Maybe try a different web browser and/or a different upload method. If that still fails, upload it to your ftp account on unicyclist.com (I increased your quota) and I can move it to your album.

Slow down a minute, whats an ftp account?
FTP stands for file transfer protocol. It’s how you can upload stuff to a server. In IE, you can go to ftp://forrestunifreak%40unicyclist.com:password@forrestunifreak.unicyclist.com/
Replace the password with your actual password. Then just drag and drop the file into your unicyclist.com webspace.
I did that several times, but it doesnt show up after a paste it to the ftp page.
I also tried the XP publisher option on my dads laptop, wich isn’t working either.
I got it to work now. I converted it to a wmv file and left it for an hour and it worked.
It accepts AVI files doesn’t it?
