Movie: The Butterfly Affect.

Whos seen it?

I think this is my favorite movie of all time, its extremly sad but i dont know why but i really like it.

lets hear your view on it it, if you havnt seen it, go see it.

I’ve seen it. You’re right, it is sad, but a very good movie. It shows the consequences of actions and different choices that you make in your life. So many different things happen to Kutcher’s character (I can’t remember his name) in the movie, from “normal” to “cool guy” to “in wheelchair”. Tell me if I missed any, I haven’t watched it in quite a while.

great movie… not my favorite tho…

The Butterfly Effect is a good movie, great for analysing, there is a lot of plot depth there.

It really makes you think, such little acks can change your entire life.

Yeah. I think the bits I like though, are the different endings… Well, primrilaly the fact that there are like 5 or 6 different versions of the movie, all different… Which really goes with that whole thing there. It’s great.

I haven’t seen “Butterfly Effect.” One of my favorite movies which toys with alternate timelines is “Run Lola Run,” which has Franka Potente racing across town trying to help her boyfriend. Her run replays from the beginning several times, and very small changes in circumstances ripple outwards to cause drastically different outcomes for herself and for various other people whose lives intersect with hers along the way. Interesting both plotwise and technically.

that movie tripped me out the first time i watched it…but none the less a very good movie

i’ve heard its very disturbing…and i don’t like disturbing movies.

Yeah, some parts are quite disturbing.

it was pretty sa dwhen he woke up and was all relived then looked down and he had no arms.

I hired that out this week and was assumning I’d love it, but it didn’t really do it for me. I thought it was okay, and I guess the concept was pretty ground-breaking at the time but I found myself looking at the clock to see how long there was left - a good sign that a movie hasn’t qutie done it for me. To fill my cheezy action movie quota I also hired out Waterworld and…okay I’m ready for the onslaught of hate messages…I enjoyed it just as much.

Actually, I got a whole bunch of movies this week. Do you guys have any equivalent to our “Dollar Tuesday” (everything in the shop is $1) at video shops?

I also hired out:
The Machurian Candidate - Great
Lost in Translation - Good fun
Nineteen Eighty-Four - Fantastic, but I wouldn’t want to watch it too many times!

Andrew

meh the movie was alright. It was not like it was the greates movie ever or anything, I have a hobby of watching just about every movie that comes out or is already and is recommended to me and on the list butterfly affect comes around the middle now if you want to see a realy strange yet very well done movie, you should see “THX 1138” It was george lucas’ first ever film even before star-wars. It is really well done and makes you think about your own society and how it relates to the movie. It is deffiantly a movie to check out

That Movie’s The S**t!!!

which one TX 1138 or buerfly affect because mine is better

thx 1138 is pretty good. the butterfly effect is a terrible waste of film. the acting is poor. the plot is a nice idea but terrible executed. kutcher can’t act his way out of a paper bag, i was bored the entire time i watched this. run lola run is 1000x the caliber of butterfly effect, and has a similar central idea. please don’t think this movie is actaully good. remember how completely horrible the entire scene is where kutcher first gets into prison and offers blowjobs? that scene made catwoman look semi-okay, instead of the train wreck it was. andrew carter’s list is a pretty good one though. i used to work at a movie theatre and saw everything that came of for a few years. please skip this.
