Movie Making: Help!

Is there a free program that can cut video apart at a certain frame? I recorded some footage with my friend’s dvd camcorder so I need to separate the clips again. Windows Movie Maker wont do it and Niether will the software that came with our new camcorder. Can someone help me please?!?!?!:frowning:

so I’m going to assume you are using a windows computer right? in that case try these or these or even these hope these help!

You can spilt it with Windows Movie Maker, at least with the one I have. After you have imported the clip, highlight the clip by clicking on it, and then push play on the little preveiw window. One of the little buttons on this window says “split the clip at this point” or something like that. Click it when it gets to where you want to split it.

I thick he is having trouble getting the mover to move maker cus it is probly save in quick time and that really sucks ive made a few videos with move marker and I had to use my web cam heer are some of mine lol there funney

o and withch 1 do u use

I’m gonna assume you meant “They won’t work in Windows Movie Maker because the files could be in .MOV format.”

If that is the case, onewheelin, try using RAD bink ‘n’ smacker. Download the first one on that list…it’s really good for amateur movie making (especially for free)…you can convert files to different types, adjust brightness/darkness, and crop films…

For the cropping, I’d recommend doing it in RAD B/S instead of WMM, because it means faster “save finished movie” times, and a smaller final file.

Man, I sure went off on a tangent.

I use iMovie because I use a Mac! Macs rule!

aahhhh i cant figger out how to use it
