Movie assistance from Aussies

I recall seeing a movie sometime between say, 1980 and 1984. It was an Australian film and involved a party in a suburban setting, a bunch of friends, and left wing politics I think possibly being centered around an upcoming election.

If I’m remembering correctly it was sort of an Australian version of the U.S. films Return of the Secaucus Seven/The Big Chill or the British film Peter’s Friends.

I remember enjoying it and now that I’ve joined Netflix could see it again if I could come up with the name.

I know what you are talking about there mate but I lost the name of it. I watch it back then in the 80’s. If I only could name that actor who rode that unicycle. I know one movie called “Under the Lighthouse” Played by Namoi Watts who she ride a unicycle in that movie in the late 1990’s. If I know, I’ll post back later.

David.

She also rides a unicycle in Peter Jackson’s King Kong (2005).

Sorry for the jack, I can’t recall seeing the movie you’re describing, JJuggle.

Try looking through this site, they seem to have most movies of today, but I havn’t had a good look for older movies on there. Have a look anyway

Dam! I forgot about that one to. Thanks for that Ed.

David.

The movie is Don’s Party. It was made in 1976 but I’m pretty sure I saw it while in college which would have been sometime between '78 and '82.

Anyway, it’s now at the top of my Netflix queue.

Cheers.
