Re: Mounting a 5 foot Unicycle
there are a couple of freemounts
the most popular being the ‘basic’ freemount and the running mount
here is, to my mind, the best written description of the raffie freemount
the best way to learn is to promise yourself that u will only ever ride your giraffe if u freemount it
if u can manage the discipline to forgo the wall, u’ll be able to free mount it consistently pretty soon
let us know how u go
here’s a link to a link to a gallery with a bunch of video clips of the running mount
enjoy
(oh yeah, and PS: this kind of thread should really be in R.S.U., it’s directly unicycling related and u’ll get better response there - nice descriptive thread title - welcome to the fora )
That dicipline is hard! I’ve had my 5-footer since X-mas and I still haven’t even tried to freemount it just because I want to hurry and get up and ride instead of sweat trying to get up. I’m also really short, so it’s pretty dang hard for me.
yeah, but it’s worth it
hang in there
(think of the freemount as something u can put in an upcoming movie… )
