(first get solid and comfortable riding it, so you can safely and competently
ride or walk away from bad mounts)
Walk forward with it. When your pedal of choice is about halfway between the
bottom and horizontal, jump up there with plenty of forward momentum. What you
want is just enough energy to put you up there and a little bit in front of the
axle, but not too much. When done right, you can actually sit up there for
several seconds before riding away. The wheel stops while you’re doing it, which
makes it easier for you to catch up with the thing.
Yes, this will take a bunch of tries…
