Mount Washington Hill Climb

I signed up for the Mount Washington Hill Climb this summer in New Hampshire and would like some input. I know its been done a few times before so I’m looking to gleen from your experiences:

-Is anyone else signed up on a uni?
-What wheel and crank size would work? I’ve done hill climbs on 24" with 125s and my Coker with 175s
-Is the dirt section an issue? Wind? Cold?
-What is the record for the climb?:
-Was this a really dumb idea?

Man, what a day. I guess I’ll just start at the beginning. I got up at 6AM and got to the base of the auto road a little before 7:00. I did about 20 minutes of easy pedaling around to warm up, and than waited in the crowd for the race to start. We left in waves. Joe Merril was in a different wave, and left first at 7:50 I started at 7:55am.
