Well i got in my first motorcycle accident tonight. The guy pulled out in front of my from a stop sign. My fender was bent into the tire and the forks are twisted. So now I’m confined to 1 and 4 wheeled vehicles.

Glad to hear you’re okay!
Here is a picture of it when i first got it about a year and a half ago.
Yeah I was pretty lucky could have been alot worse. at first i didn’t think i was hurt at all cause i just rolled out of it but then the adrenalin start to wear off.
I just hope i can get it fixed quickly with minimal hassle.
ya…i dont think u stunt…i must bethinkin of another bike…theres another bike with shadow and i dont know what it is but its a crotch rocket…does the bike have any damage to it
.
oops!
Maybe the bike isn’t that bad
I have a lot of experience hitting trees with dirt bikes:o
The forks will twist in the triple clamps, so the wheel doesn’t point right. This may be fixed sometimes by loosening the triple clamps at the tubes . Then just bang the wheel against a post with the handle bars until it looks good and tighten the clamps again. I have done this a dozen times.
I have also some experience hitting trees hard enough that this tech didn’t quite do the fix.:o
I have had to remove the whole fork tube setup, and strip it to the metal tubes that go in the clamps. These can be straightened with a hydraulic press, if they aren’t to bad. New tubes are way way cheaper then new forks, and if they are off just a bit, it is worth pressing them. If you can get them to where they roll smooth across a flat surface, reassemble and go.
There is a fine chance that the tubes are not bent, and just twisted in the clamps. I had to hit hard enough to break my arm before I first bent the fork tubes.:o
Glad your not too badly injured!
I have a friend who was in a very bad motorcycle accident. A foreign lorry driver pulled right across the road in front of him. He slammed into the front of the truck and shattered his right leg and pelvis. Things were looking good and it looked like he was going to make a full recovery but then his leg got infected.
He has had to have his leg amputated and will have to use a wheelchair until he gets a prosthetic leg. He is 18.
I would never get a motorbike, I get nervous when I see anyone messing around on a bike because I know you can get seriously injured even if you are paying full attention and being careful.
Anyway, glad your ok.

Yeah my dad said that he thought we could loosen the clamps and straighten the forks back up.
Well the insurance guy just came by and did the estimate. and it is 762.25
Bikes aren’t dangerous. People are dangerous.
Riding a motorcycle properly takes a commitment of time, skill and attention. If you ride one well, in all weathers, in all conditions, you learn a lot - about yourself, and about the world.
If you just hop on one and let it do the work, you’re in danger.
People die of sitting on the sofa eating salt-laden fatty food.
A biker was killed near where I live last week. A line of stationary cars at roadworks. One car, a Mercedes, had a fancy dashboard which warned the driver her door wasn’t properly closed, so she opened it to slam it. Motorcycle passing, too close, too fast, and BANG!
So the biker dies instantly with a broken neck. And the driver is trapped in her car because the door was bent in with the force of the impact and folded over her leg.
A moment’s inattention from the driver. The bike was going fast and close. How many lives ruined?
The biker couldn’t have predicted that the door would open, but he could have anticipated that someone would suddenly do a U turn out of the traffic.

Thats why everyone should take a motorcycle safety course before they begin riding.
And practise their skills daily.
And no one’s perfect. I nearly dropped mine last week when my back wheel lost grip on an inspection cover I hadn’t seen as I was cranked over and accelerating round bend on an empty road.
