Did anyone watch the Malaysian MotoGp today? Man, that was crazy! Too bad the championship has to end this way.
Yeah, best race of the year
Iām not good enough to say if Rossi took Mark down deliberately. They were dicing so sharp that perhaps a mistake was in the cards.
I think it will suck if they make Rossi start from the back of the grid. It sort of settles the championship and prevents a repeat of the Mark vs Val mix before the race even starts. Donāt they realize that they are trashing the entertainment value of the race ?
I suppose the upper mucks want to feel their authoriti by showing some power
and disciplining Rossi. I just wish they could see that they will make more $ by giving the fans what they want. I think I speak for everyone that we want to see round 2 of Rossi vs Mark with them joining Lorenso starting in the front row.
If Rossi really did a bad, find some other way to fine him without pissing on the show. Rules should support the entertainment value of the game.
Looking forward to Sundayās race, which I will be watching live for sure. I think we will see 3 spaniards battling for victory and Rossi making the race of his life trying to catch up. It is not unrealistic that Rossi could make his way up to 6th position, which means that Lorenzo will need to finish in second place to become world champion. So thatās what Lorenzo has to aim for, and it will not be easy. Anything could happen, but Lorenzo has the upper hand right now.
I canāt remember the tension ever being this high. Even Repsol has come out and said that they will consider to quit MotoGp because of this incident. I predict that the next season will be worth watcing.
ā¦ for Lorenzo it will be easy:
Marc will let him overtake easily (like in Sepang) and most likely block Rossi
(like in Sepang).
So at the end:
Lorenzo will be the winner, followed by Marc, and even Rossi was on third
Position, he will loose the Championship anyway.
Thx to Marc for the political smell:-(

ā¦ even worse:
Marc blocked Dani to protect Jorge against Valentino ā¦
itĀ“s really bad when a Sport Event becomes politically at the end
of a saison.
Shame on you, Marc!
It looks that way, but itās hard to say for sure. Iāve seen Marquez far more aggressive earlier, but it could be that he didnāt want to risk taking Lorenzo out.
Rossi did a great race, but I donāt think the other riders wanted to be in his way. Pirro for one went wide to let him pass.
Lorenzo should have stayed out of the dispute between Rossi and Marquez, and not tried to interfer with Rossis complaint. Then he would come across as the great champion he really is.
today I checked the final rounds again and itĀ“s absolute clear (for me;-):
Marquez had to slow down not to overtake Jorge. He was some times that close to Jorge that it was easy to overtake, bi
But he did not. And Pedrosa was able to close up within 5-6 curves and saved 0.4 sec. time. He was one second per round faster than the first two.
And after the attack and the hard counter of Marquez he stopped fighting, too.
As Rossi said in an interview:
He respects the speed of Jorge and its ok for him that he is now the champion.
But instead of a direct fighting - man to man, at last this fight was won by the intervention of the Spanish Honda team - thats really bad.

The greatest disappointing race ever
Not to take anything from Lorenzo, hot consistently all year, takes pole with a track record and leads the whole pile of shit to the flag. Lorenzo is awesome.
Still, assholes are in charge. The race would have been 100% more entertaining if Rossi, lorenzo and Mark were in the front row. Rossi did not fight his way from the back of the grid to 4th place, everyone but Pedrosa pulled over to let him by. Pedrosa deserved to fight him for the pass, but no one else wanted to be a part of this farce. The real race was supposed to be between Rossi and Lorenzo. As a fan , I know we have been cheated of the real race by mucky rule pricks.
Jorge Lorenzo will join Ducati next season, and itās always exciting when one of the top riders go to another manufacturer. Rossiās statement that it would require ābig ballsā for JL to switch to Ducati may have worked as he planned, but could easily backfire. More riders will switch teams for the 2017 season, which will be an exciting one I think.
Jorge moving to Ducati explains why Dovi and Iannone are so bent on being the top Ducati rider. One of them is going to lose their job. I think it backfired for Iannone.
Iannone seemingly has a brighter future in MotoGp than Dovi (depending on where he ends up of course), but Dovi will be a better team mate for JL who is obviously going to be Ducatiās no 1 rider. They donāt want rivalry in the team like VR/JL.
Latest word is that JL will choose his team mate next year. I would be picking Dovi.
Dovi qualified way ahead of Iannone for the Herez race.
Looks like it is going to be great race.
It was a good start at Jerez, but then Rossi pulled away and Marquez couldnāt keep up with Lorenzo. I wonder what Lorenzo is thinking about Ducatiās performance.
Where can I get good torrents?
I have always followed GP by downloading a torrent of the race. Now, the uploader assumes I want to see how well Lorenzo brushed his teeth. These files must be in 4K. I just want to watch a half hour race, I donāt want to download a 20 GB file.
Do you guys know of anywhere to get the race in a reasonable size download ?
they should turn this into reality tv if it isnāt. by interviewing these guys about their motives, fears, dreams, get them to cry and smash things and let everyone know they dedicated it to thier dying someone. What is this thing anyway? A bike race?
Casey Stoner tops the timesheet after the first day of the offical MotoGP test in Sepang. He retired after the 2012 season, but is still the fastest rider! Incredible! He was 1.6 seconds ahead of Jorge Lorenzo on the same bike and 1 second ahead of Rossi/Marquez. http://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/stoner-tops-opening-day-of-sepang-motogp-test-869597/
Thatās crazy. If he was/is still competitive, whyād he leave?
On a vaguely related note, anyone here watch WRC?
Stoner raced motorcycles from when he was four years old. He had done it all and wanted a change.
Moreover his daughter was born in 2012, less than four months after the death of Marco Simoncelli.
I donāt think itās completely clear why Stoner left, but he turned down a wildcard or two last season so he doesnāt want to race motorcycles anymore.
Stoner didnāt ride today in session 2, and the only rider to beat his time from yesterday was Iannone on his Suzuki. Lorenzo was faster than yesterday, but he is reminding me of Rossi on the Ducati in 2011: Looks to be in good spirit, but the lap times isnāt there.
This is my top ten list for the 2017 championship:
- Marquez
- Rossi
- Vinales
- Iannone
- Dovizioso
- Lorenzo
- Crutchlow
- Zarco
- Pedrosa
- Rins
