In the first quote, you say that -15 degrees C is around zero degrees F, so there, thbt! You never said, “if it was”, so I’m right, you’re wrong.

Your international genius,
Toby

Okay, I said -15 degrees C is around zero degrees F, but then I said
Hey, I wonder… If it’s zero degrees today, and it’ll be twice as cold tomorrow, what will the temperature be?

So it was a misunderstanding. But that does bring up an interesting point. If you convert it to Celsius, then double it, then convert it back to Fahrenheit…

A little lacking

This thread kind of lacks what the old one had… What was it again… Lots of replies!!! I think that it’s a fraud…

you make me sad ur. I remember those days when
MOST REPLYS!!! was open, now it’s just a memory I have… like my father. :frowning:

It’s amazing how long people can go on talking about the weather in Saskatchewan. And to think that -15 C is a WARM winter day in Saskatchewan!

Ya hear that, Gilby? You made ITEMNO530 sad. Just look at him… Well, you can’t see him, but look at that sad face. That’s ITEMNO530.

ITEMNO530 --> :frowning:

The rest of us --> :astonished: (shocked at Gilby’s rudeness)

every dy is cold if it’s yout first winter in saskatchewan! :astonished:

I think my record on sitting in cold was about two hours in -34 C. Oh boy, it was so much fun to sit alone in the dark night between 2am to 4am.

Wow, Joona, that sounds like fun. I envy you, really.

Probably. I was in the army. So I had my gun too but no bullets. That’s nice too. But nightvision binoculars were fun. You could see animals from really long distances. They were just glowing in the dark.

Ooh, glowing mooses… I wish I had night vision binoculars.
Did you get shot?

BEEBO!

I have a nightvision monacle, it’s pretty cool, I need to buy another. And when I get a nother one, I’ll tape my two together and make my own binoculars, gwahahahah!

I couldn’t agree more.

Where’d you get a nightvision monacle?

You going to nite muni with them?

I build telescopes and binoculars, and I’ll tell you now, it won’t work. They won’t be collimated (pointed straight), so they’ll give skewed images. You should just get a binocular viewer turns 1 eye-hole into 2) for the single one.

I never thought about that.
Wait, Gerble, I thought you didn’t like this thread? So why do you keep posting? Just curious.

Not necessarily. Depends on where you’re from. I grew up on the prairies. Southern Alberta to be exact. Even though we aren’t quite as cold as Saskatchewan, some winters come pretty close! And anyone from Manitoba happily welcomes the warmth of Saskatchewan!

I remember spending 4 days in Caronport, Saskatchewan in February, probably about 5 or 6 years ago, when the warmest it got was something like -32. :astonished: That sucked.

However, i do agree with you in that your first Saskatchewan winter would be absolutely miserable for anyone from Vancouver!

My grandma was born in Saskatchewan. I think. Or maybe she grew up there. I dunno. It was in Moosejaw. That’s a weird name for a city.
