One of the most disturbing movies I ever saw was Henry: Potrait of a Serial Killer. It had no real point as far as I could tell. There is a scene of the brutal and random murder of an entire family that is really upsetting followed by a gleeful watching of the murderers’ viewing their own video of it.
I think I have to go for the curbing in American History X
I have seen that movie 30 times at least and I get a shrill up my spine each time I watch that part. I cant think of any other movie that makes me cringe like that. The Passion of crist whas childs play to a guy getting his face stomped to a curb.
I have to agree with that one. But I rarely see gross disgusting icky movies, so I don’t have much experience.
My English teacher told me two years ago to see American History X in ten years, because at the time, we were too young.
Eight more years until I can see it.
yeek, those beheadings were definitely the most painful movie ever. But it was infinitely worse, because they were real. It makes me sick thinking about it.
When Luke had his hand cut off by Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back was horrible. And the icing on the cake when Darth told Luke he was his father. The scream is horrible.
I go with AHX, as well. But what makes me flinch the most is the scene in Pulp Fiction where Uma gets her adrenaline shot… ackkkkk. I can’t help it. I’m a bloody, gory kind of person–I tell dead baby jokes for fun–but that one bloodless scene is just so… personal, I guess. It’s not random violence. It’s INTIMATE violence. That’s what makes it so painful.
