i have a Toker Lx and want to start muni but don’t want to buy a new ride is it possible to just revamp it or should i suck up and buy a new ycle?
It all depends how much you like your LX. Agressive riding will start to break stuff that is not desighned for agressive riding.
What size wheel is it?
You could put a more agressive tire on it for better grip, A wider tire offers a softer more forgiving ride but can fold easily if the rim is skinny. Maybe try something like in the 2.3 to 2.5 range, or whatever fits in your frame. A larger tire would tend to fold easyer on a skinny rim but that’s life.
If you ride a 26" LX I might have a alternate wheel for you to use for MUni. It is a Alex DX rim laced to a UDC CroMo hub. I won’t be able to sell it right away thogh, I need to get my new wheel built up first.
thanks for the info my tire is a 24" . I like the torker alot but if i really get into muni then i am going to buy a new uni…not sure what one yet. i am hoping to get a tire and pinned pedals tomorrow right now i am trying to convince my dad that muni is safe with the right equipment …yeah
does your name saskatchewanian mean anything or is just a nickname cause i have never heard anything like it
I will give you a hint
Find a globe or map which has all of north amarica, look quite a ways north of where you live and a little bit west and you will see a big rectangle about 5 times the size of Alabama. I am sure you can figure it out from there.
And on the subject of MUni safety you should invest in a set of wrist guards and probably some leg armor. A helmet is never a bad idea either.
edit: and Saskatchewan is so much easyer to say than Kisiskāciwani-sīpiy
sorry for being a smart a$$
And Torker does make a DX in 24" but I would rather get a Nimbus ISIS MUni
get a torker dx, it may not be a muni, but trials and munis unis look about the same to me.
Bahahah!
