More 'weirdest Places Unicycled'

i was fortunate to witness the total solar eclipse visible across southern africa on the 04/12/2002
we had complete cloudcover that just broke at the moment of totality, allowing us to enjoy this amazing experience
sadly, it wasn’t the greatest photo opportunity
somehow that doesn’t seem to matter that much really

That’s a fantastic shot, Dave. I like the next one with the “Terminally Dave” tee-shirt as well. Thanks for having the foresight to stage the solar eclipse unicycle shot. That’s going to be a rare one.

When reading GILD’s message from a news server I didn’t get the link. Is something broken? Shouldn’t the links make it to usenet?

Same problem here: I did not see the link with my news reader, but it’s visible from inside the forum.
Any idea, Gilby?

Have fun,
Fred

On the forum GILD’s message says it was edited a couple minutes after posting. My guess is that the edit was to add the link and the edit didn’t make it in time before the message got sent out to usenet land.

For the usenet and email people here is the link to the gallery

Ah, that makes perfect sense. And thank you for including the link. I should have done that but it didn’t occur to me until I saw your post.

Not so. GILDs post is now hours old but still no picture link on
usenet.

Klaas Bil

The average person falls asleep in seven minutes.

and with plans allready underway for me to get myself to egypt on the 26th of march 2006 for the next reachable eclipse (i’m not going to antarctica!), i hope to have shots of me uni’ing in two eclipses

Dave,

Maybe by that time, you could purchase a space shuttle taxi ride and get up close and personal. Hey, a space uni ride! Now that would be something to add to the Weirdest Places Ridden list.

Just a thought.
Bruce

A jar of Marmite for the first person to take a space uni ride.

Re: Re: More ‘weirdest Places Unicycled’

Posts to and from the forum are done every 5 minutes. Once a post is sent to the newsgroup, it will not be changed or resent, but on the forum, the poster can edit their posts up to 10 minutes after they post it and that’s what happened here… it was editted after it was sent to the newsgroup.

Re: Re: Re: More ‘weirdest Places Unicycled’

i love that 10 minutes.my spelling is better only because of it…for some reason the mis-spellings only appear to me after ive posted  and if you edit quick enough your post doesnt get tagged with a "this post has been edited by ? " thing…

But that leaves the newsgroup readers thinking you can’t spell, jagur.

Klaas Bil

"Pinocchio is Italian for ““pine eyes.”” "

Klaas Bil>But that leaves the newsgroup readers thinking you can’t spell, jagur

if that is the case then you news readers are getting alot of uncensered material.i routinly blast off a responce to someone and go back and edit because i think it may have been to harsh…looks like Klaas may know the "real Jagur :astonished:

see that edited post tag in my above post?I think Gilby has adjusted somthing and now it tags real fast…i usally had 2 or 3 minutes to edit without being tagged.
