On Sunday there was a really cool trials competition in Squamish BC (just north of Vancouver).
This is a must-attend for a lot of bike trials riders because it’s really well organized and
usually has some of the coolest sections you’ll ever see. This year did not disappoint, with some
really awesome sections, including
-a section with a 20m long log ride up onto the top of a loaded logging truck, then a drop onto
the roof of a Chevy van and down its front hood to the ground.
-a section over the top of an upturned boom-boat (the kind of boats used to push logs around in a
-a section with technical log rides above a pond.
-and the coolest section of all: A log ride out into the ocean in a narrow 20m inlet, where you
had to ride across a floating log boom, and then gap across to the shore on the opposite side and
climb a 35 degree rock embankment. Super technical and a lot of fun!!
Unfortunately only one unicyclist showed up (me) but it went well, with a victory in the Sport
