Montreal

Salut!

Est-ce qu’il y a des groupes de monocycles a Montreal? Je vais etre la’ la
semaine prochaine.

Are there any unicyclists/clubs in Montreal, Quebec? I’m going to be there March
24-28, so I was just curious. It’s for a school thing, so I don’t think I’ll
take my uni and I don’t know how much freetime I’ll have, but I thought I’d at
least ask.

a bientot! Tammy

Re: Montreal

There is the Association de Monocycle de Québec at http://www.monocycle.org/ but
they are based in Quebec City. I heard that mountain bike riding is banned on
Mont Royale, but I’m not sure if this includes unis. It’s probably Ok if you
stay on the pavement.

I’ve heard that in years past there was a large uni club in Montreal but over
time the club has disappeared.

RE: Montreal

There is actually an association in Quebec city mainly doing uni hockey and uni
basketball, but no muni. In montreal, if there is a club, we’re still looking
for it (we = me and my uni-buddy). We’ve spotted one muni and 2 regular unis
last summer in the street.

Mount royal is still ok for muni (really great drops/trails there) well at least
nobody told us to stop.

We dont know about trialing in the streets but I doubt the police would be ok
with that.
