I went to buy a tripod the other day for Moab, but I didn’t find any that I liked. I’m looking for a solid tripod that folds to somewhere under 2 feet and extends to about 4 or 5 feet. Anyone got any suggestions?I’d like to spend less than $50. I looked at a few Sunpak models that seemed like they would snap in half in about two days. I’d like to get a nice little Cannon or Sony, but didn’t see any at best buy.

I have a cheapo $20 walmart tripod that works fine unless you are panning. Then it kind of sucks because the bearings are jerky.
