I haven’t seen a Miayata seat up close and in person. Could someone who has
comment on how difficult it would be to adapt it to use a Semcycle (or Schwinn)
I’m tall and the wimpy little seat posts they include with it aren’t long
enough. The extensions don’t seem like a great idea so I’m thinking about

Your best bet is to take it to a good bike shop and get them to either weld on
an extra bit of 22.2 mm pipe. A prettier solution is to drill out the short post
and replace it with a longer one. I have seats with both these solutions and
they work well.
Osell’s bike shop in Minnesota will do it for you but you should be able to find
someone local that can get it done.
I haven’t had good experiences with seat extension units. Lengthening the seat
post is a far better option.
