Apparently Miss Ayerly has coined the moniker “Grammar sheriff Serena Bardell” and joined forces with SPELL, the Society for the Preservation of the English Language and Literature. The San Francisco Chronicle has since picked up her story…

In the article, “Serena Bardell” says “Grammar is getting worse as we sit here. It isn’t just grammar. It’s usage and communication.” I would agree. I could imagine the dry-heaving that would ensue should she come across a typical thread in these fora.

Thank goodness someone’s out their payin attention to grammar and the general usageness of the Englesh language. I mean, it’s like, wow. Some peeps just really, like, ya know, mess it up, like, a lot, ya know. I thinks we otter really crack down on these peeps who, ya know, just don’t seem to care that there like, ruinin are language.
