Hi, does anyone know of anywhere that I could get mini unicycles? Preferrably in the UK. I’m after a mini uni, and mini giraffe, with a wheel diameter under 12 inch.
Thanks.

i cant post a link at the moment my computer wont let me in udc. but i think theres one in the specials section of unicycle.com. ill try and find the link
I found a pic on google images, that was on unicycle.com UK, so I mailed them, there are none in stock, and the person who made them doesn’t do them any more. And I think they said that UDC US is in the same situation.
welcome fraggle rock!
Good question.
I find a link here:
http://www.tux.org/~bagleyd/unicycle_factory/custom.html
In one of the pictures it shows:
“3” Mini-wheel Giraffe
“8” Mini-wheel Giraffe
“12” Mini-wheel Giraffe"
So I assume that he can custom-make them…at a price.
One of the difficulties in trying to make a unicycle from bicycle parts is getting an adequate axle-crank system. However, if you look at very small wheels, there’s a solution: Tricycles. So pull the wheel and cranks off a kid’s tricycle and go to it. Obviously, this is going to be a weak unicycle! But if you scroll down this page, you’ll find kids riding a mini-unicycle that may have been made this way:

I also found this link about making one, but the guy hasn’t done it yet, either:

One possibility is to get the smallest-sized unicycle you can find, disassemble the wheel, and then mount a smaller rim (and probably shorter cranks) onto it. They make kid’s bicycles down to 12", maybe smaller. This might involve drilling new spoke holes in the rim and would involve rounding up new spokes. You could possibly do the same thing starting with a 20" giraffe and mounting a 12" or smaller wheel on it.

Those giraffe’s are rediculously tall, what if you fell? :S
Get yourself to your nearest CycleKing. I bought my 12inch from there for £40!

Its not listed on their website, but they do have them.
