That would be…SO AWESOME. Right your own constitution, make your own flag, create a civil war with a population of 10 people, make your own currency… You could even make a nation called “New Sparta” and declare war on other micronations.
Hey, I’ve been to Christiania! It’s rather amazing there. I don’t like how it’s represented in the article, though. All they talk about is drugs. It’s not about drugs, it’s about freedom and laid-back living. If you went there for a day you’d understand. Lots of trees, grass, quiet paths, a lake and many many nice people. And wicked parties at night!
One of the best places I’ve ever been to.
Are there a lot of drugs though?
I’ve seen a Globe Trekker episode of Denmark, and there was also a segment on Christiania. It looked fun. Are they religious as the name implies?
There are drugs. I can’t say if there are a lot or not, compared to the rest of Copenhagen. But light drugs are available quite freely. Hard drugs are against the principles of the place and so are not welcome, as far as I can understand.
And no, they’re not religious. Some of them are, probably, but it’s all about freedom, really. All religions are welcome there.
