Menuet OS

Has anyone else heard of or used Menuet OS? It is a pretty new operating system that fits on a single 1.4 MB floppy disk. You can just run it from the floppy or from the hard drive. Its really neat and fun to play with. www.menuetos.org

Questions!

How does it install, i.e. does it get rid of the Windows OS?

What is it incompatible with; such as programs etc. (WinAmp, IE, AIM, etc.)

And how well does it handle?

I’m just curious, I read that it’s a smaller and faster system “footprint”. I’d most likely use it for a LAN box OS or something similar that ran Linux or something… iono

First, I have only run it from floppy, so I do not know if you can install it on the hard drive along with windows.
It comes with a cd player, http server, mp3 server, and other applications already installed in the OS. It is not based off of windows or linux, so you cannot run the same programs. Also, since it is fairly new, there are not too many applications made for it yet.

Read this comparison of Menuet OS with two other small OS’s.
