Mel Brooks fans?

Any one like the movie spaceballs or history of the world? or monty python? what are some peoples fav movies? spaceballs goes down as my favorite movie. anyone else a fan of it?

“There are some who call me…TIM???”

Spaceballs is sorta funny…

It gets a 5 star because it has a unicycler in it for like a second…i think.

If you mixed pizza and yogurt youd get pizzgurt the hut, master of the schwartz!

What’s wrong Colonel Sanders? Chicken

I bought Spaceballs, and Young Frankenstein for my wife for Christmas. We already own Blazing Saddles.

“prepare ship for ludacrice speed, fasten all seat belts, cancel the 3 ring circus, secure all animals in the zoo”

“what are you preparing, your always preparing just go”

“WHAT?! DID YOU SEE ANYTHING?” “no sir, i didnt see you playing with your dolls again”

blazing saddles is a good one.

I loooove Space Balls, and Young Frankenstein. I’ve never seen Blazing Saddles, but mon pere tells me it’s really good.

And of course I love Monty Python’s stuff, but the only ones I’ve seen are The Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and And Now For Something Completely Different.

I hated Spaceballs, but love Young Frankenstein, Blazin’ Saddles, and High Anxiety. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I rode the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island with Mel Brooks many years ago.

Also, the Two Thousand Year Old Man bit Brooks and Carl Reiner did is a bit of comedy genius.

I always feel the need to “one down” folks in the “obscure rides in distant history” category, by pointing out that I rode down the elevator with “Dawn” (plural) of “Tony Orlando and Dawn” fame, decades ago, at The Concord resort in the Catskills. Just little me and the two girls

They were there all week…

Re: Mel Brooks fans?

Then he just starts shooting the fire works all around. Ah its great.

History of the World is the greatest movie of all time!!!

“You look like the piss-boy!”

I thought the coming attractions at the end for History of the World Part II (never actually made - or intended I think) including Hitler on Ice and Jews in Space was funny, but the rest was pretty dull. The Spanish Inquisition sequence was interminable.

Yeah, it was, which was surprising. I didn’t expect that…

If you check the entry for Mel Brooks on IMDB, you’ll see that he’s currently working on the script for, “Spaceballs 2.” While Karen and I were in NYC seeing, “The Producers,” the day after Christmas we heard many say that Mel is also working on his next Broadway musical comedy: Young Frankenstein.

I am saddened by both these pieces of news.

“It’ good to be the king”

Spaceballs 2. ill refuse to see it, no john candy. it wont be the same :frowning: and the spansih inquisition is my fav. scene. its so funny. the nuns. mel brooks = comic genious. and the fire pat with “tim” is great. and the guy that wont let them pass the bridge. whatas your fav. color? its blue, no wait its AHHHHHHH

Thread resurection:

Seattle had the privilege of having the World Premier of Young Frankenstein the Musical at the Paramount Theatre.

We just got back from tonight’s performance, it was a riot!

Too bad it closes here tomorrow. But it does start its run in NY on October 11, 2007.

Bright guy like you really needs to check this one off, to help close out that incomplete cultural education. There are DVDs…do it soon. I steer you not wrong.

The Producers.
Probably one of my all-time favourite movies.
The sequence where they go and visit Hans at his loft is just outstanding.
And of course there’s Oola.

“Get car. Get car.”
