Check this out, just found it. PICTURE OF THE WEEK
I am between a TYPE II SUPERNOVA & ANTARES WITH M4 AND MESSIER OBJECT 4
On the first page is a unicyclist who set a record, and stars and galaxy’s, wow. I did feel pretty high that day, it is confirmed now. lol
Mike thanks for sharing the pictures they are breathtaking. You are an inspiration. Congrats on your newest accomplishment, just fantastic.
Mike,
Stunning, just stunning. (I finally took a look at this thread today.)
Nurse Ben told me of their ride with you when he was here in Salt Lake and what a wonderful time they had with you in CO. He also said you were “an animal” with lungs the that had the volume of a VW Beetle (okay I made up the last part). But this just proves it. Nice work!

Mike, I missed this when you posted, but Tom mentioned it last night. Fantastic that you pulled this off. I drove up that road in 1997 - even the top section was unpaved back then. Do they still have that rule against driving rental cars up there? Ha, that was a fun drive in my rental car! I didn’t unicycle back then, but juggled on top.
Looks like you had great weather. I was there in Feb and it was quite cold on top.
What are you going to do for an encore?
—Nathan
Thanks Nathan. It better be cold at 13,780’ in Feb:) Great pic nathan. Yes, rental car companys dislike you driving up there, voids contract.
Short term plans are for some desert MUni, then focus on ski patrolling and having a great ski season. No long term uni plans besides riding-uphill, allot.
That’s why you don’t tell them where you’re driving. You think I told the rental car company that I was taking their mini-van into Death Valley, in July and that for a 31+ hour stretch I wouldn’t be turning the engine off? ha ha! ![]()
Great job once again Mike, I can only aspire to achieve a fraction of what you’ve done on a unicycle! As always, very motivating.
Rob
Wow… Wow
