Male and female first names

LOL, thanks so much for the kind words! I just started a new job and, well, I just don’t have much free time at the moment to spend here. I’ve gotten so far behind in your “new rider” thread that I haven’t even looked at it. I need to reserve some quality time for that one. I’m glad it’s still going. Lately, I just pop into the threads that are a quick read, like this one and similar. I spend about five minutes here per day. I’ll be “back” soon…

Thanks again!

P.S. - Hi, Steve (UniBrier)! Nice to see you are still around!

My first-born’s going to be called Velocity Sideways Johnson.

I don’t tend to mention it on first dates.

Surely that would be Velocity Sideways Johnson Boogiejuice?

Tracy and Stacy are becoming common male names. I knew a girl named Michael. Micah is used for both sexes. I also knew a lady who’s name was Christopher…she went by Chris. Aaron(Erin) is used by both sexes. Robin is a common male name in the UK, but used mostly as a female name in the US(unless you are a sidekick to Batman). Lacy was used as a male name in the US in the early 19th century. Tony(Toni) is common for both sexes, though Tony for a male is usually short for Anthony.

There was a Michael in The Bangles wasn’t there? That’s the only female Michael I’d heard of.

The female form is short for Antonia.

There’s this one too.

Peggy.

The incompetent con guy in the TV commericial that gives people the runaround over the phone.
I believe the ad is for a credit card company.

Well, you can’t expect me to remember something posted a whole two weeks ago :o
