Hey everyone, the other day I found out how to make YouTube videos with certain copyrighted music available on mobile devices. I’ve known for a while now that the lack of mobile availability was related to music, but only just now figured out that you can re-enable mobile availability. All you have to do is go to your video, press “Edit Video Detail”, then press “Settings” and finally press “Make this video available on mobile phones and TV”.
I just thought I would share this so that all of the mobile users can see new videos and posters can benefit from the extra views.
Thanks for the info but this doesn’t work in my case. I have 3 vids with 3rd party content and 1 is still available everywhere. For the other 2 I can’t change anything to make them available on mobiles.
I find TubeMate (http://m.tubemate.net/) can often get round those restrictions by downloading the video, even thought it’s “not available for mobile devices”.
The app “Music Tube” allows you to make you tube playlists, and download them to watch whenever you want w/o wifi or using your data. I have ~8 hours of music, uni and standup comedy vids on my very limited storage space.
