Here is a helpful like that you should check out: CLICK ME!!!

I’ve got Style XP, but I’m not using a Mac Theme. I have some weird one called Aikon XP, it’s good though. But I do believe the grey in the taskbar is too dark.

This is a Mac like doc for your pc.

I know it’s old, but…

Have any of you tried this out. I want to know if it is any good. I really want the features listed, but are there any major bugs or glitches, or any major work involved?

Catboy,
I used it briefly… like for a day or two. It works great and is very customisable. You can change its size, position and other stuff. It looks and responds just like the dock on Mac os X.

I went and tried some of the things listed in the link in your earlier post and I noticed that Mobydock was listed there too.

Mojoe, I downloaded the mobydock and it works pretty wwell. It seems to have a few conflicts and bugs that still need to be worked out, so for now, I can do without it…

Catboy…

I noticed you’re a Firefox user too. Good on ya for that. I love the themes you can download for Firefox. I’m using Scribblieskids right now and I love the juggler in the upper right that juggles when a page is loading.

Currently I’m using the Noia 2.0 extreme theme, but am looking for either a Mac theme or a black/semi-matrix theme. If you happent to stumble upon one, let me know.

I’ve been using Firefox on and off since the early versions. For the past month and a half I’ve been using Firefox 1.0 as my primary browser. I’m not impressed with the 1.0 release. It’s buggy. Firefox has gotten unresponsive or really slow several times, forcing me to close all instances of Firefox, shut everything else down, and log off then log back on. When it has misbehaved it has been using an ungodly amount of memory and once it was using over 60% of my CPU just sitting in the background doing nothing.

My computer stays on 24/7 and I only log off when necessary and only do a complete reboot when absolutely necessary. I don’t like it when Firefox gets all piggy and slows things down. It ain’t ready for prime time yet. IE is more stable and better behaved than Firefox.

You’re joking… right? I haven’t had a single problem with Mozilla firefox, and with all the added fetaures, IE is like satan’s browser compared to FF.

Nope. IE really is more stable for me.

It might be a bitter pill for the Firefox evangelists, but it ain’t ready for prime time. Just putting a 1.0 label on it and getting a NYT full page ad doesn’t make it ready.

I did a proper install of 1.0. I always uninstalled the previous version of FF first then installed the new one. The only extension that I run is the SpellBound extension for spell checking. I’m not doing anything fancy. Just regular browsing. The only thing I do differently than most is that I don’t reboot or even log off the computer unless absolutely necessary. Methinks there is a memory leak in FF that is causing most of my problems with FF. I’m certainly not a happy FF camper.

I also only reboot, or logoff when it is absoulutely nessesary for me to do so. Maybe there is something I am doing that you aren’t or visa versa. Then again it may just be our computers and use of the program that points out the bad stuff…

I never have problems with Firefox and I often have 13 or more browser tabs open at once, plus itunes and Photoshop. I also leave my computer on all the time.

CAtboy… for a mac looking Firefox theme, try the Saferfox Xpanded theme.

Happy Christmas… Mojoe
