Lucky Uni "88" Cycle )--/=======O

Dear Tammy,

Thanks for your creative entry. Yours is #17.

Did you try to impress me with all those 88’s? This would mean that you know the
Cantonese (Chinese) superstition about 88 being the luckiest, richest, and best
number you can find / buy!!!

Cars, houses (and I guess unicycles too) go for much higher prices if they’ve
got 88 on their license plates, or on the street address. Just check in your own
neighborhood. If there’s a house address #88 on the street, there’s a good
chance a H.K. Chinese will be living there!! Ask any Cantonese, if you mention
this number, you’ll make an instant new friend!!

For the others (besides Tammy) who might not already know this, the reason is
that 88 in Cantonese sounds exactly like the words for double rich / wealth!!
Wealth 2. On the other side of things however, don’t ever ride a unicycle (ascii
or otherwise) with the license plate 44!!

Next question, Can anyone guess “MY” HK address? ;-)?

Keep 'em coming,

Steve (SGD)

P.S. Why DID you use all those 8’s?

Obvious, because she loves her unicycle so much! “88” means love and kisses in
morse code.
