Looking for unicycle record holders

I would like to locate Steve McPeak, who holds the record for riding the tallest
unicycle since 1980. Does anyone know him, or how to reach him, or where he
lives? I would also like to locate Peter Rosendahl, who holds the record for
riding the smallest unicycle since 1992. I found three people with this name on
the Web, and have no idea which one is the right fellow. Does anyone know him,
or where he lives? My reason is that I would like to “interview” these men so I
can write an article about them for Unicycling International Magazine. Any help
would be appreciated.

                                Thanks,
                                 Chris

I would be more interested in reading about Peter Rosendahl, who is a great
unicyclist, than Steve McPeak. I saw a tape when he supposedly rode the high
uni, and I don’y believe that he did. He had cables that kept him up. The cables
were tense all the time. He also seemed to be leaning forward too much for been
in balance.

I am not saying not to wear harness or other artifacts when doing dangerous
things. I believe in safety. But it must be clear that it is not the equipment
that is holding you up.

I also saw a tape of Sem in Japan. He was fully wired, but for safety. His ride
was much shorter than Steve’s and the uni was not as high. But the cables were
loose and it appeared that it was him, indeed, who was keeping the uni upright.

How about articles about Peter, and Sem? The tall German in UNICON VIII who was
an expert with ultimates? How about the Swiss couple that was featured in UNICON
VII (Minnesota). How about Julien Monney and why he practices so much? Dana?
Etc. Alberto Ruiz

Any help would be appreciated.

Steve is obviously a great unicyclist–one of the titans of the form. Regardless
of what anyone thinks about any single record he has set, the cumulative weight
of his records and achievements have to be honored.

I would love to see profiles and interviews with unicycling greats from the
past–even the recent past of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s.

I spoke to Peter a few years ago. At the time he was living in Las Vegas and
working at Circus Circus. Last time I was there, the coin cups in the casino
still featured a picture of him with his sideways zig zag giraffe. Peter is
most notable to the IUF as the first-ever World Champion of artistic
unicycling (male). He has held many Guinness records, including the current
one for 100 meters.

If you can send me the info you got on the three Peter Rosendahls, maybe I can
spot the real one. He is originally from Koping, Sweden, but wherever he lives
now is probably wherever he is performing.

Even though Steve McPeak apparently fooled almost everyone with his 101’
unicycle ride, he did ride a 41’ unicycle on a 40’ high wire, and many other
amazing feats. I too would be interested to hear what he’s up to these days, but
don’t know where he can be found.
