Looking for some links

Does anyone still have that link to that one story where the guy cashes the
bogus check and then he gets paid? If anyone has it, thanks. If anyone has
links to sites with other stories I would also like that

Also, I think it was shena that posted it but it was some site that had some
different font, and he did it through CSS, if anyone has that I would
appreciate it.

Thanks A Lot.

Just curious, were you a victim of such an incident (identity theft or
check fraud)? My aunt in CA went through something like that. It seems
someone printed out a fake check with her account number and tried to
cash it. Lucky for her, the bank double-checked the signature. It was a
bank where she has her social security checks direct deposited.

Sly, did you change your name? “Sylwester”?

Anyways, I posted the link to a blog that apparently uses an embedded
font: http://chris.pirillo.com/

Re: Looking for some links

Yea Sylwester is Sly was SychoSly. It is spelled with a W instead of a V
because that is the way it is spelled on the birth certificate. I don’t
believe there is a V in the Polish alphabet, and the W makes the V sound.

Thanks for the link.

Re: Looking for some links

Thanks for the links Rodney. I had them all bookmarked, but I reformated my
Harddrive, and I knew I forgot to back something up before the reformatting.
Stupid Me.

Thanks again.

Re: Looking for some links

I wasn’t a victim of identity theft or bank fraud. At least not bank fraud,
I don’t think so about identity theft. I work at a bank, and we do have the
machines that print the account numbers on the checks. I haven’t checked how
readily available those machines are on the internet or anything. The fake
check incident seems like someone either guessed your aunts account number.
Had someone come in who possibly found a receipt and told a teller to make a
temporary check, and the teller didn’t check ID, or it could have been a job
on the inside a teller wanting to steal money.

Those are just my ideas.
