long seat post

I’ve gotten tired of the seat post extention needed on my sem 20" to use
my Miyata seat. So, I began doing some work to attach some miyata bumpers
to a viscount seat, and install an air cusion before I realized that the
400mm post I have is just slightly too short.

Does anyone know of any seat posts longer than 400mm? or am I stuck using
an extention as long as I ride that unicycle?

Of course, I suppose the only ideal solution would be to get a custom
frame… that way I could just exchange one seat between my sem, muni,
and coker.

Jeff,

I'm 6'7" so I have had the same problem on my 24" uni. I made my own
seatpost out of 7/8" tubing and punched a bracket out of 3/16" steel
plate. This has worked out really well for me.

In the past I have purchased 7/8" BMX seatposts from bike shops that
were more than 400 mm long, though they don’t have the seatpost bracket.

I also gained saddle height when I extended my frame to accommodate
the Gazz tire (probably not the solution you were looking for).

There's a bit of information on what I did at my website:
