I used to have a club (called the Long Island Unicyclists) in Westbury. But
it basically faded away when I moved to CA in 1994.j It would have been a
bit of a hike for you anyway. There have been many Long Island schools that
have had unicycling programs over the years, so there may be lots of closet
unicyclists out there. But I don’t know offhand of who is near you. I will
connect you with my old work partner (teaching those kids), roommate, and
best man at my wedding, Greg Milstein. Greg is one of the directors of the
National Circus Project, and was also the host of the second UNICON, the
world championships of unicycling in 1986 (in Nassau County). I’m going to
break up his email address so spamming machines can’t use it for evil
purposes. Take out the spaces:

I hope this is the correct and current one. He now lives in the Islip area.
Try the yellow pages if it doesn’t work. Hopefully he knows people…
