Long crank

D.M. built a scaled up crank and pedal that he brought to BUC10.

I think they were scaled up at least 5 to 1 so the cranks were at least 125 x 5 = 625mm long (c to c).

I think they were built to demonstrate precesion - undoing of pedal threads when cycling.

WOW!

i have pedal envy…

Is that Mr. DM himself in that photo?

It most certainly is Dave Mariner.

His website’s

No on line ordering but he has a contact number and can ship overseas. If you need something special* you may have to wait a few weeks but it’s worth it.

For those of you who, heretofore, did not know the meaning of the adjective “honkin’”, that’s a big, honkin’ pedal.

Re: Long crank

Nope, it’s a prototype for the Coker 180" due out in August. First one to get it to idle wins a Guinness on John.:stuck_out_tongue:

Ah, cool. I had no idea what he looked like.

I have two DM unicycles. A 20" Ringmaster Advanced and a Vortex 26x3 Muni. It’s nice to finally see a picture of the man who made my unicycles.

Re: Re: Long crank

i have a top secret photo of that 180"

here it is on top of a true to scale wheel barrow.

Re: Re: Long crank

No need to idle that big Coker, just ride it. First person to make and ride a unicycle that big will get a free pint of Guinness on me.

He doesn’t look like a dungeon Master to me.

Nice crank though. I’d like to see the rest of the cycle.
