London to Paris by Coker 20th to 23rd October 2007

… our goal in life should always be “insight”

Nice ride guys and great ride-up & photographs Steve.

Congrats on your qualification.

Steve, thanks for the great write-up. And congrats again all of you on a really great ride. Sounds stressful though. That reminds me a little of the Norway tour in 2003 where we had ferries daily (it seemed) to catch - sometimes several per day.

I think you guys win the “Best RTL Qualification Ride” contest so far. On the form you have to fill out http://fs19.formsite.com/RideTheLobster/form185548023/index.html there is space for the write-up but I don’t know if we can actually squeeze your whole write-ups onto the site. Maybe go ahead and paste them in though - the story is so great and well told that we will try and get them up there. You can see the format by clicking on someone who’s qualified here: http://www.ridethelobster.com/race/usa.php Submit the form and then there will be something there for the Union Jack!

Great write-up Steve, you’ll have to have to leave a bit more time when you do it again (well you do say “Once is NEVER enough!” )

Gary

Well, that sounds like you had a real adventure there!

Planning how far you’re going to ride on unknown routes is always very tricky for us unicyclists. Sounds like you were just on the brink of what was possible each day, but congrats to you all for completing it.

You’ve reminded me though that even though I did my qualifying ride 2 months ago, I’ve still not submitted it… I’ll put that right now
