lockpicking - schlosse knacken

Anyone doing lockpicking?

dixi.jpg

I watched a very neat/informative video on youtube about how to pick a combination lock (that you own and have forgotten the combination to!) with a small peice of aluminum from a soda can.

Other than that, I really don’t know how to pick locks. I can, however, get into my house even when every door is locked and I’ve forgotten my key

I’ve really been wanting to learn but I haven’t yet…I need to get a proper lock pick set.

I have one it is called a drill =p…

I have one called hard evidence.

explosives get rid of evidence…

i have a set of bump keys i dont need to learl to pick locks

Unless you count the giant burnt out hole in the wall where there used to be a door, as evidence…

I tried to make one of those, but never did get it to work…but even if I did have a bump key, I would want to learn to pick locks anyway. It sounds more fun.

You could say “it was like that already”

Who would even think of doing something like that I meant more around he atomic bomb type explosives so the house or whatever would just be gone… Or you could mix yourself up some thermite(sp) and just melt anything out of your way… well if you don’t know what it is it gets hot enough fast enough to make ice blow up… and it can melt all the way through steel objects like cars or what have you…

EXACTLY!:stuck_out_tongue:

theremite=
75%finelyground up aluminium
25%Iron oxide(rust)
shove a sparkler in there and run

Which reminds me, I have approx. 2kg of lab produced iron oxide in the shed I never got round to using, i just need a suitable supply ao Al powder. I like the idea of a sparkler, I always used magnesium personally.

getting some cans and grinding them up good would work i recken

here you are

You solve your rubic cube by relocating the stickey stickers?

Evidence of what? You can also do lockpicking just as a hobby.

…depending on how skilled the forensic department is, or better: how much time and budget they are willing to spend.

I don’t have keys of most of my locks.

Exactly. If you had to learn-lockpicking for burglary then there faster ways to get in. But if you like to learn locks, lockpicking is ccool.

I can pick locks. email me if u want help i can send something that i learnt from...One_Wheeled_Wonder@hotmail.co.uk

has anyone ever actually made and used thermite. I told my dad about that and he says it won’t work it needs something else. Funny he didn’t tell me what though.

I pick my nose.

I have picked a few locks in my life. I picked a bunch of locks that I own with special lock picking tools, and I’ve actually managed to pick a change machine with two paper clips (yes, illegal, I know).

I haven’t done it in a few years though.

I have made thermit using normal rust (Fe2O3), but it is much better to use “black rust” or ferric oxide (Fe3O4). Thermit with normal rust is a little more explosive from what I remember, so it doesn’t have the desired effect.

Thermit is quite difficult to ignite, so that’s what your dad may not be telling you. When I’ve ignited the normal professional stuff, I had a hard time even using a specific thermit ignitor. I actually had to put a little bit of the rust mixture (Fe2O3) on top so that it would ignite the rest of the stuff. The professional stuff though was very grainy though, not a fine powder, so that’s probably why it was so hard to ignite.

I’ve heard that a more effective way to ignite thermit is to get potassium permanganate and but a little bit on top of the thermit, then put a drop of glycerine on top of that. Supposedly that will get hot enough to start the thermit reaction. My old chemistry teacher said that he prefers to put a drop of water on top of that to make it even a little bit hotter.

I’ve had a lot of fun with it though, I’ve melted through a cast iron skillet in a matter of seconds with the stuff. I’m still trying finding a good use for the bottle of thermit that I have in my room.
