My local hometown paper does a thing where readers suggest a caption for an image drawn by their cartoonist. Here’s the current one on a relevant theme:

OK, you’re the winner so far.
Judging from the topic titles listed for this forum section, I assumed that this was one of those rules honored more in the breach than the observance, as Hamlet said.

Henry, I didn’t know this was what you had in mind when you suggested balancing our budget.
“They didn’t forget the other wheel”
Half a wheel each during divorce
“Henry, remember to keep your weight in the saddle.”
“Henry, did you remember to tighten that loose pedal?”
“Honey, does this balance pole make me look fat?”
“Sorry, Henry, I had beans for lunch.”
“I’ve decided to run away from the circus.”
“Henry, did you remember to take your narcolepsy pill?”
I showed this to a co-worker and he came up with these:
“This is your getaway plan?”
“I knew you were bi-polar.”
“You missed the exit, dope!”
“No, I can’t reach your wallet.”
“Now’s not the best time, but did I mention your bald spot?”
we need to ride more hunny
Not in a newspaper, but I saw a cartoon like this the other day, so I thought I’d recreate it and share.
Wow, that’s a lot nicer than the one I saw. The one I saw was a drawing.
I’m gonna guess that that one is the original, but who really knows…
I saw both of these in the same day. I copied the one I liked better, even if he was coasting.
