wtf does pwned pwn pwnt mean please inform me
That was easy, what you need help with is with using more descriptive thread titles so people (who don’t all have time to read every thread) will get an idea of what the thread is about and can decide if it’s worth reading the thread. A majority of forum users will simply skip threads with vague titles.
Can you come up with a more descriptive title for this thread?
How about…PWNED?
Ah, I actually meant Dan_de_Man as I thought his entire post would’ve worked as a thread title, but everyone can play.
Maybe we should collect a whole bunch of titles and then get Miss Aylery to vote on the best one.
PWNED: derived from PWNAGE meaning Perfect Ownage which means to beat someone really harshly and badly in any way
i heard it was just ownage misspelt…
I’m pretty sure that’s where the first sighting of the word itself was…uhh…seen. In oldschool CS, it was a simply mispelling. Of course, theories like Trial_uni’s developed from there, as is to be expected.
Ahaha a wikipedia entry on PWN. But it all makes sense to me now. Thanks you GILD.
yes actually it is a word used in the games CS (counter strike) which is used for when u kill someone without being touched or you did it very swiftly!!
Pwn is just the word own mispelt becoz cs players type quickly and sometimes hit the wrong buttons. This is easily proved by looking at ur keyboard and how the P is right next to the O !!
after so many mistakes of accidently hitting the p instead of the o, they just made it a cs term!!
it doesn’t mean Perfect Ownage, it comes from a Warcraft game in which the creators misspelled the word owned, and put a p where the o was supposed to be. the name stuck.
k thx
i will take gild’s advice in future
