Links to our sites

Rodney -

You and I have talked about where my sites are in the search engines (#2
for t-shirts (http://www.mydogmurphy.com) and #5 for mugs
(http://www.amazingmugs.com) on Yahoo, and #2 for t-shirts and #1 for Mugs
on Google) and I said one of the main reasons was the number of external
links I have.

The reason I wrote this now is that with your new system you have no links
DIRECTLY to the participants’ sites, but use the php redirect to count the
hits. This means that Google and AltaVista don’t know you like us!

May I suggest a few pages of links - a participants page, a top 10 page
and a monthly #1 page - of direct links that don’t count towards the
scores but do help with search engines?

Just an idea,

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

That’s a good idea. I actually do have a monthly #1 page at
http://www.t-shirtcountdown.com/t-shirts/archive.html that is linked to on
every page of the site. With your design in the lead, it looks like you’ll
be listed on this page next month.

There really isn’t much difference with the two systems. Neither really
linked directly to the participants websites from any page that was
reachable by a search engine. The other used cgi to redirect, this one
uses php to redirect. The pages inside of the countdown weren’t reachable
by the search engine robots before. Now they are.

I may add a list of participants past and present though, that would be a
neat addition and pretty simple to implement.

italian t-shirts

Hello there,
I’m glad to suggest you an italian website about T-shirt and literature, it’s www.paroledicotone.it. You’ll find tee with quotes (in italians and english) and sophisticated drawings.
Have a nice tour
