On livejournal theres a community I’m in called freestuff, and people post links like you did for free stuff, its a great deal.

You can also check your local craigslist. They have a “for sale” section, and part way down they have a “free” catagory.
And there’s freecycling, look up if there is one in your area (there is, they’re everwhere).
I’ve been getting a LOT of free stuff lately…So I got like twenty samples of tea, a book about sandwiches, some stickers about Tibet, a Braille Alphabet card, a book about the apocalypse, a book about Valentine’s day…that’s about it. All I can think of right now anyway. I found that what is REALLY fun is to put a fake name or something when you sign up for it, then you’ll get an envelope one day for Shamu The Whale or whatever else you put and think, huh? Then remember it. For one thing it asked for a ‘title’ so I put rabbi, and eventually I got a letter addressed to Rabbi Michael Atkinson.

mmm free stuff. i went through a stage of about a week where a made a new email address and signed up for as much free stuff as possible on the internet. about two months later the stuff began to flow in. it was sooooo nice recieving all that mail
