Level 4 and rising...

I passed level 4 tonight with the Panther Pride Demo Team. It was a gas. I also got 5 steps into a wheel walk. That’s going to take a long time.

My motto now is 5 - B - 4 - 50.

I’ve got until the end of August.

Go harper go!

How does one “officially” pass-off levels?

Nice work, harper

I think we’re about the same place…although I’m in no way “official”.

Any tips on learning how to WW? My brother and I are finding it to be very hard indeed.

Let us know when you progress further ! ! !

“You’r Uni-Fu is very strong. Now, cross the rice paper to level 5.”

(When do you get the giraffe and UW burned into the forarms? :))

Your progress has been personaly very encouraging- thank you for shairing! Unless they exclude the Van Degraff Generator from the heavy equipment requirement of level 5, I’v got my money on you. Actualy, why not?

I bet my Coker that Harper hit’s 5 before the big 5-0. Any takers? Bet whatever equivilant uniequipment you’v got. Come on! You want some of this? I didn’ think so.

What 4 mounts did you stick for this level, BTW?

Christopher

congrats harper.

Thank you, master. Which tire should I use to cross the rice paper?

I used the jump mount, leg-around-front side mount, reverse mount, and standard mount. I wanted to go with the step over side mount but the arthritis in my knees makes them too unpredictable to always clear the seat.

Way to go! Remember my post “systematic approach to wheel walking?” Well,
it worked for me! I’m going for level 5 and 6 this weekend. I thought
wheel walking would take a long time too, but with a little help, I got it
in maybe 5-10 hrs of practice spread out over a month.

Also go to Gilby’s web site and do a search the forum for “wheel walk.”
You will find lots of detailed advice, some of it from quite a few
years back.

I like your motto. I’m thinking mine is

10 - B - 4 - 40. I have 20 months

Joe-

Go get those levels. 10 - B - 4 - 40 has great esthetic appeal.

I remember your post and was going to try to partner with John Childs to try that technique out this weekend if it doesn’t rain here. The pointers that I got from the Panther Pride Demo Team riders were very helpful to get me started.

“To trigger/fool/saturate/overload Echelon, the following has been picked
automagically from a database:” “1997, Sheikh Abu Gaith, FREEBSD”

OK, so it says:

To formally achieve a skill level a rider must pass a skill level exam
with an authorized examiner. Examiners are authorized by the IUF, the USA
or other connected unicycling organizations. If no authorized examiner is
available, riders can send a video tape, with no edits per level, to an
authorized examiner in their country, or to the IUF Skill Levels and
Rules Committee. Videos must clearly show all the necessary details of
each skill.

So my question is now:

Where do I find an “authorized examiner” in my area? And if there isn’t
one in my area to whom do I send the videotape? Further, can I simply post
digital video to the web in place of mailing a videotape?
